Angle Bending

BIT Section bending machine in rolling angle iron using steel, stainless steel, and even aluminum to make curves, angle iron rings, angle iron flanges, angle iron pipe supports, and many other parts.

What Is Bending Angle?

What is Angle Bending of BIT Angle Bending Mchine?

Rolled angle bending is a cost-effective process that eliminates sharp edges, improves strength, and delivers functional and cosmetic value for many applications.

BIT section bending machine's Bending angle bending may be performed on a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and copper to make curves, angle iron rings, angle iron flanges, angle iron pipe supports, and many other parts. Our section bending machine have the capabilities to bend angles in nine orientations, a claim not every company's profile bending machines can do it. BIT section bending machines can produce leg in, leg out, short leg in, short leg out, long leg in, long leg out, heel in, heel out, and heel up angles to meet your specifications.

Leg-out rolled angle rings resemble an old-time straw hat (minus the top) where the leg out would be the brim. Heel-in rolled angle rings look like, and can function as, pulleys. The most difficult orientation in angle bending is leg in. When not done correctly, there will be distortion in the horizontal leg (the leg in) that looks like an off-set. With the proper methods and tooling, this distortion will be avoided.

Angle rolled leg in should be specified by the O.D. of the ring for most cases since there are two I.D.'s of the ring; the I.D. of the easy way leg and the I.D. of the hard way leg. Heel out custom rolled angle should be specified by the outside diameter.Heel in angle should be specified by the inside diameter.

BIT section bending machines can bending rolled angle rings that are bent off-axis, with multiple radii, helically, or into compound bends

Applications

BIT profile bending machine's angle bending applications include but are not limited to:

Angle flanges

Tank supports

Ladle lips

Fan housings

Tank supports

Roof supports & roof systems

Architectural accents

Flanges

Steering mechanisms

Ladle lips

In structural applications, angles are often used back-to-back to support roofs.

Angle steel segments are used in steering mechanisms for farm equipment.
