It’s worth a mention firstly that there are two common terms used in industry, tube bending and pipe bending. Tube is measured by the outside diameter whereas pipe is measured by the inside diameter. Pipe sizing refers to the nominal inside diameter, sometimes called nominal bore, rather than the actual inside diameter.
Section bending machine can bend all types of pipe and tubing including aluminum, stainless and carbon steel. It even bend specialty materials such as copper, zirconium and titanium.
Rectangular tube bending is the same as rectangular tube bending for the profile bending machine. The difference is that the bending parameter size is determined according to the bending height.
Foreword: Tube bending is one of the most common forming processes when it comes to manufacturing metal parts for different industries. In fact, tube bending… Read More »Bending characteristics of new version 2021 steel and aluminum tubes
NPS, or nominal pipe size, is the North American set of size standards for pipes that are used for temperatures and pressures of all ranges. The nominal pipe size identifies the size of the diameter of the pipe’s hole with a non-dimensional number. Using the NPS, a pipe is identified by its diameter and then with another non-dimensional number for the pipe’s wall thickness.
